Do you really know who you are?

Before we begin this article’s journey, let me ask you a question: Who are you? Do you know who you are? You’ve likely heard the question before and can probably answer immediately—but that’s not the answer I’m looking for. Answers like “I’m Matei,” or “I’m a lawyer,” or “I’m a CEO” are not enough. I’ve noticed lately that people tend to introduce themselves by what comes after the comma on their business card, not what comes before it. While these answers form part of your identity, they don’t represent who you truly are. They’re just the superficial, surface-level things—things that could change even tomorrow. They don’t matter.
